What does a photo mean to you? Do they carry hidden meanings that only you know? What goes through your mind when you take your camera out and prepare for a memorable shot? To capture the best moment or to capture what seemed beautiful to you? Probably you think that you do not need to think much before taking a shot otherwise you will miss the best moment. However, taking note of several things before proceeding with your shot will create a much better photo effect.
You can easily master the simple Photography Tips & Tricks outlined below:
* Story. What is the story that you are trying to convey through this shot? What is the purpose of taking this shot?
* Focal Point. What is the main focus of this shot?
* Secondary Focal Point. Will they aid in bringing out the beauty of the shot or make it more distracting to the viewers?
* Background. What are the things in your background? Do you want to make it blurry? Do you want to make it the main focus of your shot?
* Foreground. What are the other things in your foreground? Can your foreground be blurry too?
* Close-Up. Does taking a close-up shot create a much better effect? Is your main focus in the shot too small to be viewed?
* Light. Where is the light coming from? Is there sufficient light to view the main focus after the shot is taken?
* Straight. Is your shot taken straight? Is there a need to make your subject in the photo slant?
* Perspectives. What perspective gives off the best effect? What perspective makes your photo unique from the rest of the other photos?
* Camera Position. Do you always have to hold the camera at the same position? If you tilt the camera will it create a different effect?
* Viewer’s Eye. How will viewers look at the photo? What will the viewers look at other than the main focus in the photo? Will having lines, shapes and colours add to the visual effect of the photo?
Maybe not all the tips will apply into one photo, there are of course different ways to shoot a photo. However, taking the time to consider these few factors before proceeding with the shot will be good. Sooner or later, you will have these tips at the back of your mind and they come naturally to you the next time you prepare to take a shot.
However, there is just one main thing to focus on if you take a photo (if you cannot remember all the tips). Does the photo looks nice to you as a whole? Do you like what you shoot? It might be amazing but we are actually a good guide to ourselves, if you do not like a photo that you had taken, most probably it will not look good to others as well.
