AP – Yahoo Inc. and the NFL Players Association have reached a settlement over use of players’ statistics, photos and other data in Yahoo’s popular online fantasy football game, but details were not immediately available Tuesday.

PC World – Late yesterday, Yahoo announced that it had acquired Xoopit–a company known for its photo management tools–and said it plans to integrate the service as a new feature in Yahoo Mail. Xoopit is the company behind My Photos, a third-party application for Yahoo’s e-mail service, but Xoopit is perhaps best known for its file management Firefox add-on for Gmail.

NewsFactor – Yahoo has confirmed that it will acquire San Francisco-based Xoopit, which won the Yahoo Open Hack contest in 2008 and powers Yahoo Mail’s My Photos application. The app finds photos in a user’s in-box, including both file attachments and URLs that link to photo sites like Flickr or Picasa Web Albums.
