HP closes $13.9 billion purchase of EDS (Reuters)

Reuters - Hewlett-Packard , the computer and printer maker, said on Tuesday it closed the $13.9 billion purchase of Electronic Data Systems Corp., a deal that HP hopes will help it better compete with IBM .
